Big Brown

Bethpage native, Michael Iavarone, and Richard J. Schiavo of Westbury, proud owners of champion race horse, Big Brown, the early favorite and the winner of the Kentucky Derby, which took place May 3, 2008.

Mr. Iavarone and Mr. Schiavo are co-presidents of International Equine Acquisitions Holdings (IEAH), making final decisions on the selection and purchasing of all horses. IEAH acquired a 75% interest in Big Brown folowing a huge September win in Saratoga. The undefeated Big Brown burst onto the scene with a visually impressive Florida Derby victory last month in just his third career race.
