Cava, Edward

Edward is the son of Carmine and Carmela Cava. Married Muriel Benkert, they had one son, Edward, he is the brother to Nicholas and Margaret Carvo. He was active in the Bethpage Fire Department and was chief of the department 1958 - 1959. He was responsible for researching and the installation of pull boxes to activate a fire alarm in the Bethpage Fire District.

He was an excellent mechanic at Frog Hollow Chevrolet on Hicksville Road and later joined the Suffolk County Police Department and he achieved the rank of detective.
