Crematory Firm Loses Fight To Build Central Park Plant

Justice Hooley orders injunction restraining structure: Two-year battle ends. He ordered an injunction recorded against the United States Cremation company, restraining the building of a crematory in the Central Park area.

Long fought efforts to prevent the establishment of a crematory on Hempstead Turnpike, Central Park, were successful today.

The injunction was sought by Edwin Moore, owner of 45 acres of land adjoining the 26 acres of land owned by the cremation company. Moore had charged that the company had started the building and that it was 60% completed and that the procedure was in violation of the law.
