George a long time resident of Bethpage, who grew up in NYC., and was a proud Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army Security Agency.  George was employed by Air Canada at JFK Airport, where he was a Cargo Sales Manager, the job he retired from. George was married to his beloved Eleanor for 68 years; devoted father to George, Kevin and Joan; proud of his grandchildren - Rachel, Laura, Ian and Paul.  George lent his talents to the Bethpage Community - wherever/however needed.

His talent as a video photographer was useful in the filming of local events.  George was an active member of the Central Park Historical Society where he jumped right in to help support their many projects - the building of floats and projects of historic significance; used his talents to help establish the CPHS archives; and for the running of the organizations and events.  George willingness to work and enhance his church, St. Martin of Tours, with the support and help of friend Bob Albertson as they were known as the Nazarene Carpenters of SMT. They were very proud of their work as they initialed most of their projects.  To name some I can remember - The top of the Holy Water Fountain in the Gathering Room; the large display case, for church distribution of information in the Gathering Room; the Bible Stand; a cabinet to hold the books Frank Decicco up-date of people killed in military action; the shelf which holds the book of those deceased from St. Martin of Tours - now George and Bob's name are in the book; where shelves were needed to hold and display objects; crafted the crib for the infant Jesus - given to SMT by Fr. Pat - to display the infant on the 25th of each month; the last project was constructing a closet in St. Alfonse Hall.  All done with love.

George Passed away on December 1, 2019.  He had a Christian mass at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, followed by interment with military honors at Calverton National Cemetery on December 6th.
