Claire Jackman, 65, was pronounced dead at the Nassau Univesity Medical Center in East Meadow on January 2, 2001. She was shot by her ex-husband, Winthrop Jackman, 68, after an argument at their home on Coronet Crescent. (See articles in Newsday, 01/03/01 and 01/04/01.)
