The Malvese Company is celebrating 100 years of service in 2012. The Malvese Equipment Company, Inc. got its start in Central Park in 1912 as a vehicle repair shop. A time when horse drawn wagons were giving way to trucks and as mechanization increased Malvese's garage business prospered. During 1914-1917 Malvese garage moved into a rented facility in Garden City Park while their new building was being erected in the same town.
