Masjid Al-Baqi: Muslims on Long Island

Masjid Al-Baqi was established on Central Avenue, the land that once was the property of the Beau Sejour, to serve the Muslim communities of Bethpage, Plainview, Hicksville, Farmingdale, Massapequa, Levittown, Huntington, Woodbury, Amityville and Plainedge. Alhamdulillah Masjid Al-Baqi was started the 1st day of the Ramadan in the year 1999.

The property purchased was an Italian restaurant and later they purchased the adjourning corner property formerly an Oriental restaurant which is used primarily for parking.
