Joseph Sambito, Mary Schiavetta, and Howard C. Vogts were the first to be placed on the Wall of Fame at the Bethpage High School athletic complex. The induction took place on July 28, 2013.

Joseph Sambito, Class of 1970, was an All-County baseball player and an all-division football player. An All-American baseball player at Adelphi University, he was also drafted by the Houston Astros in 1973. Joe was a member of the 1979 National League All-Star Team and participated in the 1986 World Series with the Boston Red Sox.

Mary Schiavetta, a triathlete from the Class of 1979, was named All-County in basketball, field hockey and softball. Mary went on to play basketball for Syracuse University, and later earned her PGA membership in 1996. Mary is currently one of the top golf instructors in Florida.

The late Howard Vogts was honored for his years of dedication as Head Football Coach of the Golden Eagles. Under his leadership his teams amassed 35 League/Division Titles, 16 County Titles, 5 Long Island Titles, 10 Undefeated Seasons, and 3 Rutgers Cups. He is now (2013) New York State's "Winningest" Football Coach with 364 victories.
